CORSAIR.
Following a major site migration in May 2023, organic non-brand traffic had dropped significantly. Taking over as SEO Manager in August 2023, the mandate was to recover lost ground then grow — technical SEO, hreflang implementation across 20 regions and 12 languages, and a comprehensive content strategy for the CORSAIR Explorer blog.
Ahrefs traffic estimates are widely known to undercount real performance — actual organic visits consistently run higher than what Ahrefs reports. I've deliberately chosen to use Ahrefs data here rather than sharing real analytics from a current employer or past client. The trends shown are directionally accurate. The real numbers are better.
Diagnosed and resolved crawl and indexation issues caused by a site migration in May 2023, before I joined. The migration left a number of missed and misconfigured 301 redirects. Rankings stabilised within the first quarter.
Implemented technical and hreflang infrastructure across 20 regions and 12 languages for CORSAIR, Elgato, SCUF, and Fanatec. Hreflang was incomplete — covering only select regions and failing to correctly cross-reference between them. Users reaching the correct landing page for their language and country improved steadily following implementation.
Grew the CORSAIR Explorer blog from ~1k/mo to 1m+/mo through content ideation, optimisation, and AI-assisted translation. Informational content was the single biggest SEO gap on the site. Around 1/3rd of all referring domains now point to articles from the CORSAIR blog.
Achieved "Good" rating on all desktop metrics and 2 of 3 mobile metrics. All metrics were considered 'Poor' or 'Needs Improvement' prior to beginning work.
Organic search reporting was limited to GA4 reporting. Since joining, I've built out custom Looker Studio dashboards and Claude automations to monitor organic search performance across GA4, GSC, Site Speed, Core Web Vitals and more.
Updated existing editorial content to improve coverage of AI prompt responses, using data from site logs and third-party tools to identify which pages were being cited and where gaps existed.
Updated existing product content to cover a broad range of expected user questions, use case queries, and tightened product tech specifications.
Conducted a site-wide JavaScript rendering audit of our content. Implemented sweeping changes to ensure all critical content was visible to AI crawlers and search bots.
